Denise has always had an interest in the link between food and health, and in 2002 decided to make it her career. After giving up her job in the City, she took a break and travelled the world for almost a year; within a few days of arriving back from South Africa she was sitting in a classroom at the world-renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition for her first biochemistry lesson. Three years later she graduated and began to practice.
“Nutritional Therapy isn’t just about calories and weight-loss, it’s about using the latest nutrition science along with coaching skills to enable people to make lasting transformation. It’s helping people make permanent change to what and how they eat, how they think and feel about food and their bodies, and how they live their lives.
My practice recognises that we are all biologically different, and our genes respond to food in individual ways. I work with my clients to address not just food, but lifestyle and attitude so that they are better equipped to take what they learn and make it work for them.
Whether you are recovering from illness, dealing with a health condition, looking to stay well into old age, or want to feel and look better now, nutritional therapy must be part of your strategy. You are not just what you eat but what you absorb; nutrition sits right at the core of optimal health. “
Denise also runs one-to-one Holistic Core Restore® Courses in effective pelvic floor exercise and nutrition; this six-week course is ideal for new mums, mums with older children, and women in perimenopause, menopause; and any other woman dealing with stress urinary incontinence and/or mild pelvic organ prolapse.
