Mária is a qualified counsellor with a postgraduate diploma in Counselling from the Psychosynthesis Trust in London, accredited by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). She is a registered member of BACP which sets the standards for Counselling in the UK and the Ethical Framework for practitioners.
She offers individual and couple counselling sessions on a long or short-term basis where you will feel valued, respected, listened to. Together you will look at the issue you bring, at your pace, in a safe, confidential, and no-judgmental space.
Her approach to Counselling is an integrative approach, this means that she combines more than one modality to suit the needs of her clients.
Whether she works with individuals or with couples, her goal is to understand the challenges that you experience, to help you observe the issue from different perspectives with curiosity rather than concern, to support and encourage you in this journey.
Relationships, whether romantic, between friends, family members, in the workplace or our internal relationship with who we are, is the area she is most passionate about.
Her background and personal journey allow Mária to appreciate and connect with clients because they feel ‘she’s been there’, she can relate to their challenges and work with them towards the changes they choose to make in their lives.
She works with a variety of issues including: Relationships dynamics, Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, Stress, Low Self Esteem, Lack of Confidence, Work related Issues, Sadness, Grief, Emptiness, Pregnancy Loss, Sex Challenges.
