What we can do for you?

We believe in supporting our local community through joined up partnerships with local schools, businesses and clubs.  Please read on to see how we can help you.

Summer and Christmas Fayres

We love to get out an meet the people who make up the local community by attending school events.  We will set up a stall and  provide free advice to parents and visitors on the many services that our clinic provides to the community.  We will do free blood pressure checks and discuss any health issues you may have whether it is medical or of a musculoskeletal nature.

Please see more information under Schools.

GP’s

We hold open days for GP’s and their teams to visit our clinic and meet our practitioners/therapists.

Many local patients already visit our clinic and like to provide an opportunity for GP’s to find out more about what we do. We invite GP’s to visit the Winchmore Hill Clinic of Osteopathy & Natural Health, to experience the services that we provide to support our communities in maintaining a happy, healthy body and mind.

Come and find out more about the services that we provide to serve our community.

We can tailor an agenda to suit the surgery needs. For example:-

  • Short introduction to the clinic : Fiona Lavin (Osteopath)
  • Presentation and demonstration of Osteopathic techniques : Followed by a short Q&A session
  • Introduction to Acupuncture and the “no needles” technique : Followed by a short Q&A session
  • Presentation on Pilates
  • Light refreshments are provided

This is usually followed by a short tour of our facilities followed by an opportunity to meet some of our clinicians / therapists available to discuss your requirements and how our treatments may help your patients

Or, if preferable we can come to you, at a time and date convenient to yourselves.  Call 020 8360 3485 to arrange.

If you identify anything else that you would prefer to see please contact the clinic by competing the contact from or call the clinic direct to discuss how we can accommodate your specific interests.

Meet Fred our Friendly Skeleton

We have a friendly skeleton named “Fred” who attended several events in the N21 area in 2012.  We believe that children learn by interacting and therefore we encourage the children to be hands-on and label up different bones in the body.  We were amazed how much the children picked up in the short time they spent talking to us.

Fiona Lavin, the principal Osteopath, is happy to come in and talk to the children about different bones, how to have healthy bones and also to go into some depth about the structure of bones – she has a great experiment with bones and vinegar which children can do at home.  She will show the children a light box and some X-rays so the children can see how different bones look when X-rayed and also she can leave Fred for a few weeks so all the children have a chance to play and learn from him.

Advice leaflets – How to safely carry the load you take to and around school

We have free leaflets about how to carry schoolbag/rucksacks.  We can also arrange for someone to come into your school to talk about this.

Work experience

We strongly believe in trying to inspire youngsters to pursue a career sure as Osteopathy, Acupuncture, Medicine etc and we are willing to provide work experience for 6th form students.  Please ring or email us if you are interested.

All attending practitioners hold a current Advanced CRB check.
