About me
I am a qualified and experienced psychodynamic therapist with a down to earth approach and I provide one to one counselling and psychotherapy in Winchmore Hill, London N21.
I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space for people to explore issues and concerns, which are perhaps difficult to talk about with family and friends.
I work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and offer both short term counselling and longer, open-ended counselling/psychotherapy.
Thinking and talking to a therapist may help you to understand how present and past experiences and relationships affect your current patterns of thought and behaviour, causing difficulties for you in your present life.
What I can help with
People come for counselling to seek help with many issues. These can include depression, anxiety, abuse, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement, cultural issues, eating disorders, family or work-related issues, identity problems, disability and the ageing process, trauma and suicidal ideation. Although some people come with a specific issue that may require short-term therapy, others need longer to address more deep-seated issues.
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) degree from the University of Leeds, PG Dip HR (Middx Uni), Intro course in Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy (LCP), Diploma in Psych Counselling (WPF affiliated), Post-grad Dip Psych. Theory, Foundation training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
I regularly attend courses and seminars as part of my continuous professional development and in order to stay up to date with current practices and research. I also receive regular psychoanalytic supervision of my work.
I hold an appropriate level of Professional Indemnity Insurance.
